Dietary Guidelines for Better Health

Some foods can aid you in your journey for better health, while others only hinder.

Try to Avoid:

  • Dairy Products
  • Any Oil that isn't Cold-Pressed or Organic (canola, vegetable oil, etc.)
  • Heated or Fried Oils (Fries, Chips, Battered Foods)
  • Excessive Bread and Pasta Consumption
  • Hot, Spicy Foods
  • Greasy Foods
  • Excessive Alcohol
  • Carbonated Beverages, Bottled/Packaged Drinks and Juices
  • Excessive Cold Drinks, Frozen Ice Cream or Yogurt
  • Pesticide Sprayed, Chemical or Solvent Polluted, Stabilized, Emulsified, Pasteurized, Dyed, Plastic Packed (pre-packaged), Preserved, Processed, Artificially Flavored, Genetically Modified, or Canned Foods
  • Excessive Meat (especially if not organic)
  • Peanuts unless in Shell, Peanut Butter, Raw Cashews
  • Micro-waved Food
  • Seafood or Shellfish
  • Chocolate or Coffee that is not pure, un-flavored and organic
  • Water in clear or frosted plastic bottles (blue tint is okay)
  • Refined Sugar, Salt and Flours

Incorporate and Enjoy:

  • Organic Food
  • Cold Pressed Organic Oils: (olive, safflower, sunflower, pumpkin, flax, sesame seed, etc.)
  • Steamed/Raw vegetables (primarily steamed leafy greens: Kale, Collards, Beet tops, Bok Choy, Mustard Greens, Etc.)
  • Whole Grains (brown rice, barley, millet, quinoa, amaranth, spelt, rye, etc.)
  • Beans and Legumes (chickpea, adzuki, kidney, lentils, etc.)
  • Fruits
  • Nuts, Seeds, Sprouts
  • Fresh Spring Water
  • Sea Salt (naturally harvested/evaporated)
  • Organic Raw Cane Sugar (in moderation)
  • Organic Cocoa Powder or Chocolate
  • Miso
  • Sauerkraut or Fermented Beets
  • Sea Vegetables (Wakame, nori, hiziki, Kombu, etc.)
  • Gentle spices (ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, turmeric, etc.)
  • Fresh and Dried Herbs (basil, rosemary, parsley, mint, oregano, dill, etc.)
